Sorry it's been a while, we spent last week at the beach and I spent my time relaxing and playing with the kids instead of on the computer. We had a blast! So, back to the blog...
Sudzy Bums sent me their awesome Baby Bummy Stick Diaper Ointment to review. It is petroleum free, chemical free, vegan, and cloth diaper safe. The ingredients listed are: candelilla wax, shea butter, olive oil, meadowfoam oil, aloe, infused calendula leaves, infused comfrey leaves, and a proprietary blend of essential oils. First off, this is a GREAT size for the price, many other diaper sticks are more expensive (one popular brand stick was selling for $12 for 2 oz at the time of this review.) This stick would last a very long time. The packaging is very convenient for diaper changes, or you could have one stick for diaper changes and one for everything else (scrapes, dry skin, bug bites, etc.) The scent is amazing, it has a light citus-y natural scent.
It has a smooth buttery texture, that melts into your skin easily. You could even scrape off a bit with your fingers to apply that way if you don't like the idea of rubbing a stick on multiple places. First I tried it as a barrier during diaper changes, it made cleaning messes off of her bottom SOOO much easier, and it lasted through a couple changes. I also used some on some pesky dry skin she gets on her scalp. I applied it before bed, after her bath, and the next morning there was no dry skin in sight. It didn't leave her feeling greasy either. I love this stick, and I will defintely be buying more. She also has some baby wipe solution, and diaper pail deoderizer disks I can't wait to try out.
