Blissful Booty Review and Giveaway

In 2006 when Cathy Brown’s youngest daughter was born with a congenital heart defect and super sensitive skin Cathy wasn’t able to use disposable diapers.  Cathy didn’t want to use prefolds like she had used with her oldest daughter so she studied her favorite disposable diapers features and started sewing with different types of cloth.  She was making them for friends and after so much encouragement from her husband and friends she left her Director of Operations in Finance job and Blissful Booty was born.  Cathy now offer my AIO diapers, Cloth Wipes, All Natural Wipe Water Concentrate, Booster Pads, Pail Liner Bags and Wet bags! (Very soon she will be offering flushable liners)

Cathy offered me one of her AIO diapers along with 2 booster pads as I told her my little guy was a very heavy wetter.  This is a great option for heavy wetters as it is made of super absorbent microfiber terry as the inner soaker material.  The boosters are made of the same thirsty material.  All Cathy needed was my guy’s weight and she sent out my fluffy package.  My first impressions were that this has to be the softest cloth diaper I had ever touched; I mean seriously my booty would be blissful in it!  I must say I have had no luck with sized diapers, everyone I have tried has not worked for some reason or another and I have to assume it is because my little guy has not so average measurements however the size large Cathy sent me fit great. Perfectly covered his chunky thighs without leaving a mark, super gentle back elastic that just cuddles his back and the front elastic is great for an unexpected explosion that you would think no diaper can handle! 

The overlapping aplix closure is great for kiddos that might be right around the size that you are unsure if you should size up or down (although Cathy is a great tool for sizing help!) and the laundry tabs really work (I have had several brands give out after a few washes however these are still going strong!).  I also have to point out that the crossover tabs are on both sides of the diaper which makes it especially great if you have a left handed mama and a right handed daddy.  The interior of the diaper has gussets that are so soft that there is no red marks on baby even after a long 12 hour (yes I said 12 hour!) sleep and NO leaks.  This diaper was so heavy when it was taken off it felt like a bowling ball but baby boy was dry, not red as the PUL is very soft and breathable and I have to say it again NO leaks!  We have been using this diaper for over 2 months now and it is really a favorite of mine and my husbands.  As I mentioned the laundry tabs are great, the diaper and boosters have been washed countless times and the inside (and outside) still look new and feel super soft too.
